NORM SURVEYS
During normal operation, NORM accumulates in different facility components including Storage Tanks, Separators, Pipes, Vessels, and Tubular. This accumulation affects the efficiency of these Facilities and can lead to occupational exposure. NORM survey is required to monitor surface contamination and NORM build-up in the facility components to ensure efficient and safe operation. NORM SOLUTION performs initial NORM baseline survey, where NORM locations are mapped, tracked, and recorded. Routine NORM surveys are provided prior to maintenance and/or replacement for any facility contaminated component.
RADIATION PROTECTION SERVICES
Natural radionuclides in NORM decay by emitting alpha and beta particles and gamma rays, which can subsequently led to internal and external radiation exposure. Internal exposure is resulted from the decay of radionuclides that entered the human body via inhalation, ingestion and wounds and external exposure resulted from the exposure to decay of radionuclides outside the human body. During normal operation, external exposure to gamma rays emitted from NORM scale, sludge, and sands is the occupational safety concern. During maintenance and shut down both internal and external exposure could occur. Annual tracking and assessment of occupational exposure doses and design of record keeping systems are provided by NORM SOLUTION to ensure compliance with national regulation and international guidelines for occupational safety.
Workers who may expose to NORM must be provided with and wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to reduce the risk of exposure. NORM SOLUTION provides technical support on the selection and application of PPE and provide integrated management for these equipment.
ONSITE NORM MANAGEMENT SERVICES
NORM wastes and contaminated equipment packaging, storage and disposal designs services are provided by NORM SOLUTION. Packaging services will ensure the use of sustainable packages and labels that ensure safe storage, transportation, and disposal of NORM waste according to the national regulations and international guidelines
ONSITE DECONTAMINATION SERVICES
Based on the results of routine NORM survey, onsite decontaminations might be required. NORM SOLUTION provides on-site decontamination activity for contaminated facility components and NORM decontamination waste management services.
